About the speaker: Philippe Bertoux took up his duties as Ambassador of France to the Republic of Korea in July 2023. Previously, he was Ambassador, Permanent Representative of France to the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montreal, then Director of Strategic Affairs, Security and Disarmament (2020-2023) at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. Previously, he held various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Paris and abroad (New York twice, Moscow). He is a specialist in multilateral issues, with particular expertise on the United Nations as well as on strategic and disarmament issues. Philippe Bertoux is a graduate of Essec, IEP-Paris and ENA (1999). He is married and has three daughters.
